Lewis and Clark
National Bicentennial Exhibition: This website is just one of
the best I've ever seen. It includes information about the traveling
exhibit, as well as incredible photographs of personal items used by
the expedition shown in the exhibit. You can zoom in remarkably
close on an item to view it as if you held it in your hand. I can't
say enough good things about this website.
The Alamo: The official
website of The Alamo in San Antonio, TX maintained by The Daughters
of the Republic of Texas.
The
Alamo Society: The Group that covers all the new research about
the Alamo.
The National Park Service's Lewis
and Clark National Historic Trail: The traveling exhibit
of the Corps of Discovery II includes two interpretive tents
with exhibits and a performance tent entitled the Tent of Many
Voices. The Tent of Many Voices will provide a space for live
demonstrations, lectures, cultural presentations and audio-visual
showings. Live performances will be provided in partnership with
American Indian Tribes, state governments, local agencies, the
private sector and other federal agencies.
Montana Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Commission:
The Montana Lewis
& Clark Bicentennial Commission was created by the 55th Montana
Legislature to aid in preparation for the Bicentennial of Lewis &
Clark in Montana to be celebrated from 2003-2006. This outstanding
site provides an extensive list of websites relating the story of
the Corps of Discovery.
Alamo
Sentry: Visit Wade Dillon's website, which he began when he was
just 15. Share his life-long passion and interest about The Alamo.
Legends of
America: When you travel, do you often wonder
what happened at "this place" in the past? Who lived here? What
were they like? How did they live their daily lives?
If that's the case
for you, then visit Legends of American where you will find
content-rich travel destinations of the American West.
